Massage Essex Cancellation and Transferable Deposit Policy
At Massage Essex, we value your time and strive to provide a seamless booking experience. To ensure fairness to all our clients and to help us manage our therapists’ schedules effectively, the following cancellation and deposit policies apply:
Individual Bookings
- Notice Period:
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to transfer deposits or make changes to your booking.
- Non-Refundable Deposit:
Deposits for individual bookings are non-refundable. However, with at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit can be transferred to a future booking within 3 months from the original appointment date.
- Changes Within 48 Hours:
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
Group Bookings or Minimum Spend Appointments
- Notice Period:
Group bookings (e.g., group pamper days, events, or bookings involving a minimum spend) require at least 7 days’ notice for changes or cancellations.
- Non-Refundable Deposit:
Deposits for group bookings are non-refundable. However, they may be transferred to a future group booking within 3 months with sufficient notice.
- Changes Within 7 Days:
If less than 7 days’ notice is given, your deposit will be forfeited. For rescheduling, a new deposit will be required.
Couples Massages
- Notice Period:
Couples massages, require at least 72 hours’ notice for any changes or cancellations.
- Non-Refundable Deposit:
Deposits for couples massages are non-refundable but may be transferred to another booking date with sufficient notice (within 3 months).
- Changes Within 72 Hours:
If less than 72 hours’ notice is provided, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required for rebooking.
General Policies
- No-Show Appointments:
If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, the full deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to reschedule.
- Rescheduling After Deposit Forfeiture:
If your deposit is forfeited due to insufficient notice, you can reschedule your appointment by paying a new deposit equal to 50% of the original booking value.
- Late Changes Fee:
In some cases, if a client requests a change to their booking after the notice period, we may accommodate the change at our discretion, subject to a late change fee of £25 per person.
- Fairness to All Clients:
These policies are designed to ensure that our therapists’ time and travel are managed efficiently, and all clients receive the best possible service.

- Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to avoid forfeiting your deposit.
Why We Have This Policy
As a small business, we dedicate significant time and resources to ensure your experience is exceptional. Therapists may need to travel long distances or prepare for your booking in advance. Last-minute changes can result in lost income and inconvenience for both therapists and other clients. This policy ensures fairness and helps us continue offering high-quality services.
